Here is a selection of highlights from my recent projects. While I led these technical developments, their success is a testament to the brilliant teams and collaborators I’ve had the privilege to work alongside.

Echo — AI Speech Integration Platform

CTO, Trellis Data | 2024–present

Echo is a complete reimagining of Trellis’ existing speech technology, engineered to make AI transcription drastically more accessible, reliable, and actionable. Echo integrates with APCO Project 25 (P25) radio systems and Everbridge 360 from the start, enabling keyword alerting and real-time sentiment analysis.
Echo

Echo is gaining commercial traction in environments where accuracy and security are required. Echo is part of active projects and trials with customers in defense, national security, and justice departments internationally.

ScrambleFactor Reader

VP Engineering, Identiv | 2024 | Biometrics + touchscreen.

This product was born to resolve several challenges:

ScrambleFactor Reader
  1. Modernize the aging ScramblePad product line
  2. Introduce biometrics to the Identiv (now Hirsch) reader product group

The “3FR” product is a flagship product — the culmination of many years of research and development on the TS Reader platform. This reader leverages the best of the original readers, adds many improvements in a slick industrial design.

EG-2

VP Engineering, Identiv | 2023 | IoT Door Access Controller

The EG-2 was a missing piece of the then Freedom product group. This product launched as the Identiv EG-2 product line. Following the acquisition of Identiv’s physical access business, this product now carries the Hirsch branding and is part of the Primis product suite.
EG-2

The EG-2 closed an important gap in the product group; it allows for a much more modern deployment design than traditional physical access products.

Side Projects

Instrumap is a small side-project developed on my own time for music producers to leverage their sample libraries with Akai hardware.
